How Google Improves Upon Their Algorithm (Video)

Today Matt Cutts shared a short Youtube video about how Google improves their search algorithm. The video, embedded below, talks about how they use human testers to see if their proposed changes add value. This admission (I don’t want to call it a revelation) continues to show the value of the user experience for online marketing and SEO.

The video also reveals that they will send a small amount of actual search traffic to the “Sandbox”, which is essentially a test area, to see if that new algorithm is actually providing more value.
